Privacy notice
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This notice explains what personal details we collect through this website, why, where they're kept, and what you can ask us to do with them. We've kept it short and plain. If anything is unclear, write to hello@boethoscx.com.
Who we are
Boethos CX is a customer-support business run by its founders from India. In this notice, "we" and "us" mean Boethos CX. We decide how your details are used, so under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we are the "data fiduciary" (under UK and EU data protection law, the "controller").
Contact for anything about your data, including complaints: hello@boethoscx.com.
What we collect
- What you type into our contact form: your name, business name, business email, phone number, company website, what you need help with, your description of your requirement, and your answers to the optional questions (team size, ticket volume, helpdesk, hours, start date, how you heard about us).
- How you reached the form: the page you sent it from, the website that referred you, and campaign tags in the link you followed (for example
utm_source=email). We use these to understand which of our emails and posts are useful. - Booking details when you book a call through Cal.com: your name, email, phone number, the time you chose, your time zone and any notes you add.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider records basic request information, such as IP address, time and browser type, to keep the service running and secure. Our own server logs record only a reference number and whether a request worked, never your name, email, phone or message.
We don't ask for, and please don't send us, sensitive information such as health, financial account or government ID details.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange and hold a call with you, and prepare a quote.
- To keep a record of our conversations with you, so we don't ask the same questions twice.
- To protect the website from spam and misuse.
We use your details only because you gave us your consent when you sent the form (you can withdraw it at any time, see below), and, for UK and EU visitors, because it's needed to take the steps you asked for before any contract, and in our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
We don't sell your details, we don't use them for advertising, and we don't make automated decisions about you.
Who handles it for us
We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our sales process. They process your details only on our instructions:
- Render: hosts this website and the server that receives the form.
- Trello (Atlassian): our sales pipeline, where each enquiry becomes a card.
- Google: Google Sheets keeps a backup log of enquiries and bookings, and Google email notifies our team when an enquiry moves forward. YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) plays our video letter if you press play.
- Cal.com: shows our calendar and handles call bookings.
- Our email provider: when we write to you.
Some of these providers store data outside India, mainly in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the providers' own security and data protection commitments.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry and booking details for 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a client, the details we need to provide our service are kept for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us, at any time and free of charge, to:
- tell you what personal details we hold about you and how we've used them;
- correct, complete or update them;
- delete them;
- stop using them, by withdrawing your consent. This doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it;
- name someone to act for you if you're unable to.
Write to hello@boethoscx.com. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or, if you're in the UK or EU, to your local data protection authority.
Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
While you have the page open, your browser temporarily stores the form you're filling in (so a refresh doesn't wipe it) and any campaign tags from the link you arrived on. This stays on your device and is cleared when you close the tab.
Two outside services load only when you use them: Cal.com when you click into the contact form or open the calendar, and YouTube when you press play on the video. They may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
Keeping it safe
The website and our server only accept encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to our sales pipeline and backup log is limited to our team, and the keys our server uses are stored securely and never published.
Children
This website is for businesses. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their details.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use personal details, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
